Robert L. Conder Psy.D., FACPN, ABPP-CN & RP, Clinic Director, is a native of Hamlet, NC. After graduating from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Dr. Conder completed a doctorate in clinical psychology from Baylor University, and then a fellowship in Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology at VCU/Medical College of Virginia, where he also taught. Dr. Conder is board certified in Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology and a Fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology, the American College of Professional Neuropsychology, and the Sports Neuropsychology Society. Dr. Conder is a founding member of the Sports Neuropsychology Society and an internationally-recognized sports neuropsychologist who works with sports concussions at all levels: high school, college, professional and Olympic. He was the chief neuropsychologist for the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League, and continues to consult with Div 1 college and high school teams. He has published and presented at national and international conferences on Traumatic Brain Injury, Cognitive Rehabilitation, and Sports Concussions. Alanna Adler Conder Psy.D. is a child clinical neuropsychologist with a background in pediatrics. After graduating from the University of Rochester, she completed a doctorate in clinical psychology from Baylor University. Dr. Conder completed her internship in the Department of Psychiatry at the Medical College of Virginia, then worked at MCV in the Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Conder is a charter member of the Sports Neuropsychology Society. She has presented nationally and locally on sports concussion management and post-concussion school re-entry. She has authored publications in the area of sports concussion and rehabilitation of Persistent Sport Concussion Syndrome. Dr. Conder was a neuropsychologist for the National Hockey League, working with the Carolina Hurricanes. Areas of clinical specialty include child neuropsychology; pediatric brain injury and sports concussion; neurodevelopmental disorders; autism spectrum disorders; and neurocognitive sequelae of medical conditions including epilepsy, perinatal/pediatric stroke, and migraine.
